Ogun Governor Mourns Late INEC Official

The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has expressed his condolences to the family of Barrister Olaniyi Ijalaye, the late Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ogun State. Ijalaye passed away on Monday evening in Abuja after attending a meeting at INEC’s headquarters.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Lekan Adeniran, Governor Abiodun described Ijalaye as an honest, committed, and highly respected public servant. He expressed his sorrow over the sudden loss, highlighting Ijalaye’s humility, patriotism, and dedication to service.

The governor extended his sympathies to Ijalaye’s family, friends, and colleagues, praying for strength to bear the loss. He also conveyed condolences to the people and government of Ondo State, acknowledging Ijalaye’s significant contributions and the lasting impact of his work.
