Tobi Amusan has been honoured in her hometown, Ogun State, with a massive billboard supporting he Olympic journey to Paris.
The hurdling superstar has been celebrated with a large billboard in Ogun State after being confirmed as Nigeria’s flag bearer for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony.

As one of the top medal contenders in Paris, Tobi is recieving a well-deserved recognition and support to help her achieve this Olympic quest. This marks the first time in a long while that a state has honoured its native athlete.

Amuan will compete in her signature event, the women’s 100m hurdles, where she holds the world record and is a strong contender for a medal. If successful, it would be Nigeria’s first medal in this event since Glory Alozie’s silver at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

A medal in Paris would be Amusan’s first Olympic medal after competing in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2021. Since then she has established herself as one of the world’s premier hurdlers.
As the pride of Ogun state and Nigeria, Tobi Amusan aims to have a triumphant performance at the Games, aspiring to win the gold medal and solidify her status as one of the greatest hurdlers in history.
