Okonjo-Iweala Cheers Super Eagles for AFCON

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala extends her support to the Super Eagles ahead of their AFCON clash against South Africa.

Nigerian economist and Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has encouraged the Super Eagles to secure victory in their football match against South Africa on Wednesday.

Taking to her Twitter account on Tuesday, the former finance minister extended her best wishes to the senior team and emphasized the importance of defeating the South Africans as they compete in the semi-final match at Stade Bouaké in Bouaké, Ivory Coast.

Okonjo-Iweala urged the Super Eagles to ensure they emerge victorious in the semi-finals to secure their spot in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.

In her message, she stated, “Wishing our very own Super Eagles the best of luck tomorrow!! Let’s get it done.”
