The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has criticized the recently signed ₦698.6 billion budget, calling it a “Budget of Looting.” The opposition raised concerns over allocations, including ₦200 million for lawmakers and ₦280 million for the Speaker’s phone expenses.
PDP Publicity Secretary, Kennedy Peretei, also questioned the ₦11.5 billion allocated to the Ministry of Finance under “security vote,” calling it unjustifiable. The party urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate.
In response, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) dismissed the allegations, stating that the budget was designed for economic growth and accused the PDP of trying to discredit the government out of political frustration.
