The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has described her victory at the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal in Umuahia, Abia State, as “ordained by God.” She dedicated the victory to her constituency and hailed the judiciary for upholding the rule of law.

The tribunal nullified the election of Amaobi Ogah of the Labour Party, representing Isiukwuato Umunneochi federal constituency, citing non-compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act and a failure to prove that he won the election based on the results declared.

Onyejeocha expressed gratitude to her supporters and promised to continue representing her constituency in line with their hopes and aspirations. She commended the judiciary for standing firm despite attempts to intimidate and blackmail it.
Her victory, she said, is a reminder of the people’s confidence in her capacity to serve them effectively.
