Edo North senator Adams Oshiomhole announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is poised to take over governance in Edo State after Governor Godwin Obaseki’s tenure ends. Speaking at the new APC secretariat in Benin on Sunday, Oshiomhole welcomed Nosa Adams, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), along with thousands of PDP members, into the APC fold.
Oshiomhole emphasized the party’s commitment to securing victory in the upcoming governorship election, with APC candidate Monday Okpebholo expected to bring significant growth and development to the state. He criticized the current administration and promised that Okpebholo, a grassroots politician, would prioritize action over rhetoric.
“The APC will ensure the defeat of the PDP, Labour Party, and other parties in the November 12, 2024 election,” Oshiomhole stated. He praised the thorough process of integrating former PDP members, particularly in Egor LGA, and underscored the importance of respecting party elders to maintain unity.
