Victor Osimhen has delivered a positive injury update, bringing relief to Galatasaray fans by revealing his return date which is sooner then initially expected.
The Super Eagles striker sustained an injury after netting two goals in Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa. He was substituted at half-time for Dries Mertens, and the club later issued a statement confirming he had started treatment.

“The treatment of our football player Victor Osimhen, who felt pain in his upper left posterior muscle during the Kasımpaşa match in the seventh week of the Trendyol Super League and who was diagnosed with strain (strain and bleeding) in his upper left posterior muscle group during his check-ups at our sponsor hospital Medicana today, has been started.”

The injury ruled Osimhen out of Nigeria’s upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Libya, as he wasn’t named in coach Austin Eguavoen’s squad. Initially, he was expected to be out for six weeks, keeping him sidelined until November.

However in a recent video circulating on social media, the 25-year-old told Turkish journalist Caner Isbegendiren that he plans to return “after the international break”.
This timeline suggests that Osimhen could be fit for Galatasaray‘s October 16 clash against Antalyaspor.

Osimhen has made an impressive start to his career in Turkey, scoring two goals and providing two assists in just three Super Lig matches. His early return would be a significantboost to Galatasaray’s title defense as they aim to extend their lead in the League.
