“Osun APC Suspends 26 for Anti-Party Activities”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has suspended an additional 26 members of the party for alleged anti-party activities. This action comes on the heels of the expulsion of 84 members for similar reasons the day before.

The suspension was announced by Mr. Sooko Lawal, the Chairman of Osun APC, in a statement. According to Lawal, the suspension was the result of complaints and allegations of factionalization of the party brought against the affected members.

He explained, “Following complaints of anti-party activities, the State Executive Committee of the Osun State chapter of the APC constituted a Disciplinary Committee to investigate the allegations against some of its members.”

The disciplinary committee conducted a thorough and impartial review of the allegations, which were then deliberated upon by the State Executive Committee. After assessing the evidence and considering the committee’s recommendations, the state executive committee took the decision to suspend these members.

Some of the suspended individuals include Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Najeem Salami, Sen. Mudasiru Hussain, and others who have been accused of engaging in activities that divided the party and created parallel party organs.

The APC emphasized its commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and adherence to the party’s core values, while urging its members to stay focused on the party’s goals and work together to serve the interests of their constituents and the state.
