The Osun State Government has disassociated itself from the Federal Government-appointed Focal Person on National Social Intervention Programmes, Mr. Kehinde Ibitoye, and any programs involving Microsoft Corporation and Fidelity Bank. The government accused Mr. Ibitoye of engaging in activities that are detrimental to the reputation of the state government.
According to the government’s spokesperson, Mr. Ibitoye’s actions and claims, including dropping the names of the State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, and the State Government, were not authorized or endorsed by the state government. They clarified that Mr. Ibitoye was an appointee of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and warned local and national agencies and private sector organizations to be cautious of any solicitations from him in relation to the State Government.
The State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has also directed a thorough investigation into Mr. Ibitoye’s activities, with the aim of generating a report for further action in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
Efforts to obtain a response from Mr. Ibitoye were unsuccessful as he did not respond to text messages and calls.
