The well-known singer Oxlade has provided insight into his decision to leave Lagos State University (LASU) during his final year, citing a harrowing near-death experience he endured.
Oxlade, known for his hit song “Ku Lo Sa,” recently participated in an episode of “Tea with Taye,” where he candidly discussed the circumstances surrounding his departure from LASU. He revealed that during his final year, he was approached by individuals attempting to recruit him into a gang.
Recalling the traumatic ordeal, Oxlade explained that he was under intense pressure from these individuals to join their group. He recounted a specific incident when his grandmother urged him to return home to Ibadan. On that very day, the gang members forcibly entered his room and brutally attacked his roommate, leaving him in critical condition.
Oxlade revealed that the relentless pressure from the gang ultimately led him to make the difficult decision to drop out of the university.
