The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo, has offered guidance to his son, Isaac, as the latter embarks on his ministerial journey. In a video titled ‘Unveiling of the Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries’ shared on Isaac’s YouTube channel, the renowned clergyman addressed a congregation presumed to be members of Isaac’s newly-founded ministry.
Oyedepo emphasized the importance of conducting ministry without maligning or bringing down other religious institutions. He urged his son not to adopt a stance where he singles out certain ministries for criticism. In the video, he stated, “My son, His times are not in your hands, your times are in His hands. Don’t be part of maligning or bringing down any ministry.”
Expressing concern about the younger generation of ministers, Oyedepo advised Isaac not to follow the path of those who consider themselves everything. He encouraged a focus on impactful ministry rather than self-aggrandizement.
During the video, Oyedepo extended his blessings to Isaac and his wife, Ayomitide, who knelt down to receive the prayers. The clergyman prayed for “unusual grace for sustainable connectivity” and emphasized the importance of humility in Isaac’s new phase of ministry.
Oyedepo shared a personal reflection, stating, “I have never begged, yet I have never lacked, I have never borrowed yet I have never lacked.”
Isaac had previously addressed speculations regarding his role in the church and his relationship with his father. In his statement, he reaffirmed his dedication to the church and cautioned the public against relying on information not communicated through his official social media channels.
