Pastor Bolaji Idowu, lead pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), is in police custody at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja over allegations of ₦1.5 billion fraud. The case reportedly involves real estate fraud and money laundering, with billions of naira traced to the church’s and his personal accounts.
Sources disclosed that the investigation began after one of HICC’s pastors allegedly defrauded investors in a real estate scheme. Pastor Idowu, known for his Next Level Prayers platform, is being questioned regarding his role in the transactions linked to the scheme.
Harvesters International, founded in 2003, has grown significantly, attracting over 70,000 worshippers globally. While the church and its leadership face scrutiny, police investigations are ongoing.
