In a heartwarming celebration at the Redemption Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), marked his 82nd birthday. Amidst the joyous occasion, he shared a remarkable tale of narrowly escaping death in a series of accidents during past journeys.

“Somehow we passed,” he said, describing it as a miraculous escape that left both him and his driver shaken. Adeboye highlighted the astonishment of his driver, who kept repeating “wonderful” during the journey.
“That I’m alive today is because His name is called wonderful,” Adeboye exclaimed, expressing gratitude for divine protection.
During his birthday celebration, Adeboye also expressed appreciation for the church members and prayed that none of them would die young, wishing them even greater heights.
Speaking on the theme, ‘On Eagles Wings,’ Adeboye tied the celebration to the 38th anniversary of the annual Special Holy Ghost Service organized by the church. He preached from Exodus Chapter 19, emphasizing that when God takes notice of a person, their life changes for the better.

Meanwhile, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, praised Adeboye as an exceptional leader, noting the positive impact of his teachings on countless lives. Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, also extended warm congratulations to Pastor Adeboye, recognizing his devoted life in drawing people closer to God.
