Renowned relationship and marriage counselor Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo has highlighted what he perceives as a common misconception among some women, emphasizing that they often prioritize marriage above other crucial aspects of their lives.

In a tweet, Pastor Okonkwo expressed concern that some women place marriage above their relationship with God, personal well-being, and the welfare of their future children. He stressed the importance of finding personal fulfillment and contentment in one’s single life before entering into marriage.
Drawing from the biblical account of Esau, Pastor Okonkwo cautioned against making snap decisions, citing Esau’s impulsive choice to exchange his birthright for a meal. The pastor used this example to illustrate how acting out of desperation, particularly in the context of marriage, can lead to unfavorable outcomes.

In his tweet, Pastor Okonkwo advised women, saying, “Some women place marriage above God, above their well-being, and even that of their unborn children. Anything done in desperation never births something good …ask Esau. Ladies, one of the major steps to being happily married is being happily single.”
This message underscores the pastor’s belief in the significance of personal fulfillment and well-being as foundational elements for a successful and contented marital life.
