Pastor Suspended for Brutal Flogging of Late Student in South African School

In a shocking incident at St Peter’s Combined Christian School in Mohlaletsi village, Sekhukhune District, Limpopo, South Africa, a pastor and educator, Diketso Matibidi, has been suspended for brutally flogging a female student who arrived late for Sunday church service.

The pastor reportedly called out the late student in front of the congregation and proceeded to lash her with a Sjambok, a whip commonly used in South Africa. The incident came to light when parents, seeking justice, alleged that the school initially denied the occurrence until other students came forward to confirm the beating.

Outraged parents are now demanding the removal of the pastor from the school and are calling for disciplinary action against him. The affected student’s parents are advocating for therapy for their child, asserting that the inhumane treatment has significantly impacted her ability to concentrate in school.

The school has issued a statement indicating that a disciplinary hearing has been set up for the pastor. The female student is slated to undergo a medical evaluation, and the incident has been reported to the police.

The disturbing event has sparked widespread condemnation and calls for accountability, shedding light on the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of students within educational institutions. Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter to address the concerns raised by parents and the wider community.
