The Nasarawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cautioned Governor Abdullahi Sule against involving President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in the state’s politics. The state chairman of the PDP, Chief Francis Orogu, expressed concern over the governor’s inability to initiate significant projects or set an agenda for his administration after over four years in office.
Orogu criticized the governor’s focus on discussions with Wike about infrastructural development and security between Nasarawa and the FCT, emphasizing the security challenges faced by Nasarawa State, including the presence of various terrorist groups.
The PDP urged Governor Sule to prioritize governance and address security issues in the state rather than involving national figures in local politics. They also called for a fair and just resolution of the ongoing Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal proceedings in the state.
