The most wanted traffic robber in the state, who was active in the Ijora Badia region, has been apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the command, told reporters on Thursday that the police had been pursuing him for the previous six months and confirmed the arrest.
According to him, Ijora Badia Division agents started obtaining useful information regarding the whereabouts of Olawale Odunsi, an 18-year-old, before to his apprehension.
He claimed that the suspect had committed numerous traffic robberies in the Iganmu and Ijora under Bridge locations and surrounding areas.
The suspect’s dreadlocks made him appear like a lethal attacker, according to several victims.
He has previously escaped from custody multiple times. Fortunately, the suspect and his terror gang members were set to operate at Iganmu under the bridge on Tuesday at around 3:30 p.m., based on information received.
As soon as Ijora Badia Division personnel arrived on the spot, the suspect was apprehended as he emerged from his illegal hiding place.
His gang mates made their way out of the area. After being brought to the station, the suspect admitted to the crime. The inquiry is still on,” he stated.
