In separate operations in Ningi and Alkaleri LGAs, men from the Bauchi State Police Command apprehended two suspected kidnappers and apprehended eight others.
Auwal Musa Muhammad, the Commissioner of Police (CP), who paraded alleged criminals on Monday, said the command had achieved exceptional success in its operations across the state targeted at removing the remnants of kidnappers and bandits.
“The police operatives, in collaboration with hunters, attacked the hoodlums on a routine patrol in Dutsen Siddi, Zanya, Zori, Kafin Gora, Dukutu, Runu, Kwapto, Gwari, Rafin Gora, Jimi, and Bura districts, all in Ningi LGA, neutralised two of them and arrested one, while the remaining terrorists were subdued during a gun duel with our team,”
“This caused them to flee in disarray into the nearest bushes, possibly with bullet wounds.” Nonetheless, efforts have been stepped up to track them down and bring them to justice.”
He further said, “From 10/07/2023 to 13/07/2023, detectives attached to Alkaleri Division, working together with professional hunters, randomly raided identified black spots in Babarko village via Pali District and Yalo, Karekare, Digare and Gwana villages and arrested seven suspected kidnappers: Isah Gambo, Hamza Ali, Ali Isyaku, Danlami Isyaku, Abubakar Isyaku, Adamu Alhaji Lado and Usman Dan Asibi, aka Na Mansur.”
According to the commissioner, preliminary investigations revealed that the accused were infamous kidnappers who terrorized the Alkaleri village and beyond.
