Chelsea’s midfielder Moises Caicedo recently had his luxury vehicle, an Audi RS Q8, seized by police following suspicions that he was driving without a valid driver’s licence.
The 23-year-old Ecuadorian international was reportedly pulled over last Friday while driving near Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham, Surrey. The vehicle he was driving, a high-end Audi model, retails for a starting price of at least £125,000 when purchased new.

In a statement released by Surrey Police, a spokesperson confirmed: “A man in his 20s from Cobham was stopped by officers on Fairmile Lane in Cobham on Friday, April 4 and found to be driving without a licence.” As a result of the stop, the car was impounded, and authorities have said that investigations are still ongoing.
As of now, Chelsea has chosen not to make any public statement regarding the situation involving their midfielder.

Should it be determined that Caicedo has violated any driving laws, he could face consequences ranging from fines to potential criminal charges, depending on the outcome of the police inquiry.
Moises Caicedo’s career in England began in 2021 when he was signed by Brighton & Hove Albion from Ecuadorian club Independiente del Valle. He quickly gained attention for his performances, which led to a high-profile transfer to Chelsea in August 2023.

The West London club secured his services in a deal worth an initial £100 million, potentially rising to £115 million through performance-based add-ons—making it one of the most expensive transfers in Premier League history.

As of now, there has been no further information from either the player’s camp or the authorities. If any updates become available, particularly regarding the outcome of the investigation or Chelsea’s internal response, they will be shared.
