The Lagos State Police Command has provided an update on the ongoing autopsy conducted on the remains of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
According to Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, the autopsy was carried out by some of the most skilled forensic pathologists in the country. Hundeyin, in a post on his X account, also mentioned that family members of the late singer were present during the autopsy.
He reassured the public that there is no cause for concern and urged everyone to remain patient while awaiting the results of the autopsy. Hundeyin wrote, “As assured by the CP, the autopsy was promptly carried out by some of the best forensic pathologists in the country, in the presence of family members. While we await the result, we urge everyone to remain calm and confident in the process. There is absolutely no underhand dealing, as feared by some concerned persons. In the meantime, other aspects of the investigation are progressing well.”
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, and was laid to rest the following day in Ikorodu, Lagos State. His death has sparked widespread reactions, with some Nigerians alleging that his former boss, Naira Marley, and music promoter, Sam Larry, were responsible for his demise. However, both men have denied these allegations.
