The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced essential maintenance work on the 132kV Akure-Osogbo transmission line, which will lead to power disruptions in Ondo and Ekiti states. The maintenance, scheduled from July 1 to August 31, will result in nine-hour daily power outages over the two-month period.
According to a public notice cited by Findwhosabi News, the TCN will be installing Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) and performing other necessary activities that require a power outage on the affected network to ensure safety.
The TCN expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the outages and sought the patience and understanding of the affected customers. “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and kindly solicit your patience and understanding,” the notice read, underscoring the commitment to improve the power infrastructure for long-term benefits.
