Prof. Ali Pate was previously appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gavi, a global health organization. However, he stepped down from this position before assuming the role of Coordinating Minister. Despite this transition, he affirmed Gavi’s continued commitment to prioritizing Nigeria in the rollout of a malaria vaccine and contributing to overall healthcare advancements in the country.
