The Presidency has advised Nigerians not to protest and do anything that is against the nation.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President Bola Tinubu on Public Engagement, Fredrick Nwabufo, wrote this on Tuesday, on his X handle.
He said President Tinubu understood the current hardship faced by Nigerians and has been putting out programmes to address the issues.
Nwabufo listed household support initiatives, increased minimum wage and agricultural investments as programmes engaged by the federal government to cushion the effects of hardship.
He said, “President Tinubu’s administration has been implementing seminal programmes, essentially targeted at the vulnerable and the most vulnerable population.”
He added that while there are genuine concerns, the federal government has been addressing the citizens’ concerns.
He tells the citizens of Nigeria to maintain peace and stability in the country.
“There is genuine concern, understanding, and attention; hence, the carefully-tailored programmes, and more.
“Nigerians should be wary not to be conscripted into any agenda that does not bode well for the nation.
“It is our collective responsibility to ensure that the government works for us all. It is also our responsibility to ensure the peace and stability of our nation,” Nwabufo added.
