First Lady Remi Tinubu has dismissed a viral video showing nursing students in Delta State allegedly mocking her during an event. The students had refused to join a song calling her the “mother of the nation,” saying she was only the MC’s mother.
In response, her media aide, Busola Kukoyi, said the visit aimed to uplift healthcare workers and should not be overshadowed by the incident. She emphasized that students should be allowed to express themselves while maintaining respect.
Remi also acknowledged reports that some students faced disciplinary action, urging the school to handle the situation with fairness while ensuring a positive learning environment.
