Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubari, has met with heads of security formations in the state to discuss the brutal murder of late SP Bako Angbashim, the Divisional Police Officer of Ahoada. Governor Fubara urged the security agencies to apprehend the prime suspect, Gift Okpara Okpolowu, also known as 2 Baba, as a clear message that Rivers State is not a safe haven for criminals.
The Governor expressed his sympathy to the Nigerian Police and the family of the slain police officer and vowed to make Rivers State unsafe for criminal activities and gangs. He placed a bounty on the criminals responsible for the murder and suspended the traditional ruler of the locality.
Governor Fubara emphasized that Rivers State has never been a home for criminality and expressed confidence in the ability of the security agencies to bring the culprits to justice.
