Ronaldo Nets 900th Career Goal, Outpacing Messi

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has once again made football history by netting his 900th career goal during a Nations League match against Croatia.

In front of a home crowd at the Estadio da Luz in Libson, Ronaldo scored his milestone goal in the 34th minute, giving Portugal a 2-0 lead. The goal came after a precise cross from Nuno Mendes, with Cristiano finishing from inside the box, igniting celebrations in the stadium.

Cristiano reached his 900th goal after 1,236 matches, further extending his record as the men’s player with the most inter national goals, with 131 goals in 213 appearances for Portugal.

This achievement comes after Ronaldo hinted at the possibility of reaching 1000 goals before retiring. In a recent interview with former teammate Rio Ferdinand, following his 899th goal for Al-Nassr, he expressed his excitement about his 900th milestone and confirmed his unrelenting desire to keep scoring.

The legend also too to twitter to celebrate the great feat

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi, Ronaldo’s long-time rival in the GOAT debate, has also achieved incredible feats but trails behind Ronaldo with 843 goals in 1,069 official matches.

Cristiano’s lead in the all-time goal tally reinforces his legendary status and further fuels the debate over his place as one of football’s greatest players ever.
