Al-Nassr has paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo following his remarkable achievement of reaching 900 career goals.
The Portugese star netted his milestone 900th goal during the international break in a Nations League match against Croatia.
The five time Ballon d’Or winner surpassed his long-time rival Lionel Messi in the race to this record, with his sights now set on reaching 1,000 career goals.
To celebrate the occassion, Al-Nassr presented Ronaldo with a custom “GOAT” jersey, featuring the number 900 on the back. This special moment took place before their Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Ahli.
The club shared a video of the moment on their official X account, captioned, “Over 900 goals to celebrate: the ‘GOAT’ is home 🐐🎉”.
Fans in the stands also displayed a large banner reading, “900 goals” and “Only heroes achieve glory”.
Of Ronaldo’s 900 goals, 45 were scored at Real Madrid, where he achieved most of his success. He also netted 101 for Juventus, 145 for Manchester United, 68 for Al-Nassr, 5 for Sporting, and 131 for the Portugal national team.
While Ronaldo has only secured one trophy with Al-Nassr since joining, he’ll be hoping to add more silverware this season after his 2023 Arab Club Championships Cup triumph.
