Nigerian Dancehall sensation Ruger has officially parted ways with Jonzing World, the label under which he has been signed since 2019. The news of Ruger’s exit from Jonzing World was confirmed by a source within the label.
He gained widespread recognition in 2020 when he was unveiled by Jonzing World as its first flagship artist. His debut EP, ‘Pandemic,’ released in the same year, featured hit songs like ‘Ruger,’ ‘Bounce,’ and ‘Abu Dhabi,’ propelling him into the mainstream music scene.

Following his successful debut, He continued to climb the ranks with his sophomore EP, ‘Second Wave,’ in 2020. The EP produced chart-topping singles such as ‘Dior’ and ‘Girl Friend.’
In 2023, Ruger released his debut album, ‘Ru The World,’ under Jonzing World, featuring standout tracks like ‘Asiwaju,’ ‘Jonzing Boy,’ and ‘Bun Bun.’
Now, after four years with Jonzing World, He has decided to part ways with the label. Additionally, he has launched his own record label, Blown Boy Entertainment, as revealed in a freestyle video he shared on his Instagram story.
He’s departure from Jonzing World marks a new chapter in his career as he takes control with his independent label, Blown Boy Entertainment, signaling a fresh direction for the talented Dancehall artist.
