Nollywood actress Sarah Martins opened up about her past relationship struggles, revealing how she gave half of her salary to an ex-boyfriend, only to discover he was using it to support another woman. Responding to a post by celebrity designer Veekee James about similar experiences, Sarah shared on Instagram that this betrayal has shaped her view on relationships.
Martins recounted that, out of love, she contributed 50% of her salary for six months, believing she was helping her boyfriend. However, she later found out he funded another woman’s business with her money, only for that woman to marry someone else afterward. The experience, she said, has led her to adopt a “gold digger” stance in relationships, prioritizing her needs.
Reflecting on lessons learned, Sarah emphasized the importance of mutual support in relationships. She explained that while she’s willing to help a partner, he must first show commitment and support.
