Vice President Kashim Shettima has emphasized that President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” aims to lead Nigeria toward sustained economic growth and stability. Speaking at the 2024 Lagos Trade Fair, Shettima highlighted Nigeria’s 2.98% GDP growth in the first quarter, driven largely by the services sector. He encouraged stakeholders to use this fair to form partnerships that promote economic development.
Shettima also assured that the administration is fostering a favorable climate for both local and international investors. He commended the fair’s organizers, acknowledging their role in advancing Nigeria’s economic interests at a crucial time.
Meanwhile, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has called on President Tinubu to review his economic reforms. The ACF expressed concern that these policies have increased hardships for Nigerians, especially in the North, and urged the government to adopt more sensitive measures to alleviate poverty and address regional challenges.
