During a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, singer Simi shared her love for fellow artist Chike’s mesmerizing voice, noting its ability to evoke deep emotions. Simi, who collaborated with Chike on the hit song ‘Running To You’ in 2021, revealed that Chike expressed immense gratitude for their collaboration.
She said: “I actually love Chike’s voice so much. There is so much emotions his voice carries. When he wanted to do the song [‘Running To You’], I don’t even think I was around. He sent it to me. He already had a version of the song on his album, but I hadn’t heard the album at the time. And when I sent the version, I was like, ‘This is so beautiful.’
“I was so happy to do it. Funny thing is that I’ve done quite a number of features, but he [Chike] was just very appreciative. He kept showing how appreciative he is, and I really liked that.”
