Simon Biles’s estranged mother publicly appeals for a chance to reconcile.
Shanon Biles, the estranged mother of gymnastics superstar Simone Biles, has recently expressed her longing to reconnect with her daughter.

Simone recently added to her gold medal tally at the Paris Olympics, solidifying her legacy as one of the greatest gymnasts ever. She won three gold medals at the Paris Games: artistic individual all-round, artistic team all-round, and vault, bringing her total gold medal count to seven.

Biles has been in high spirits since, celebrating the games and embracing her GOAT status. However, she might soon face some emotional conversations, as her mother, Shanon, who abandoned her daughter, has publicly expressed a desire to mend their relationship.

The 52-year-old left Simone and her younger sister Adria with their grandparents, Ron and Nellie Biles, during their childhood due to her struggles with drug and alcohol addiction.
In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, she sought forgiveness from her daughter and expressed hope for reconciliation.

“I would like to make amends with Simone personally; I’m just waiting for her and [her younger sister] Adria,” Shanon said.
“I speak to Adria more than I speak to Simone. I would just ask her to forgive me. Can we move forward? Don’t judge me on my past. Let’s move forward.
“I’m waiting for the opportunity but I’m waiting on her to be able to come to me. Let’s sit down. I just have to be patient.”
