In Sangeko Forest in Kebbi State, Nigerian Army troops have defeated a sought-after, infamous bandit known by the nickname Mai-Nasara.
Two further suspected bandits who were allegedly part of the same group were also slain by the crew.
This is in line with a press release sent to Kebbi State Governor Ahmed Aliyu on Monday and signed by the Chief Press Secretary.
Idris cited Abdul Rahman Usman, Director of Security at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi, as disclosing the success story.
Usman urged citizens to provide the security forces with the collaboration and support they need to be successful, even as he praised their efforts in combating crimes and criminalities, particularly in the state’s southern region.
“Your cooperation and support are absolutely essential for the security agencies to accomplish the intended goal of rooting out criminals and bringing peace and normalcy back to our land,” he declared.
People are therefore needed to provide reliable intelligence to security authorities so that battles can be won.
