Former Big Brother Naija contestant, Soma Anyama, has issued an apology for his controversial behavior during a heated exchange with Angel in the Big Brother house, which led to him receiving a strike.
In a recent post-eviction interview with Arise TV, Soma expressed deep remorse for his actions, emphasizing that he would never intentionally harm Angel or any woman. He underscored that his conduct during that incident was entirely out of character for him.
Soma stated, “I got a strike in the house before I go further, I’d like to apologise for the outlook. I would never hurt Angel or any lady, I am a perfect gentleman. But sometimes when our emotions and frustrations get high, plus being in the house makes you crazy and out of character, and some stuff you won’t do on a normal day in the real world.”
Furthermore, Soma clarified that he wanted the public to be aware that he respects and supports women and vehemently denies any accusations of abuse or mistreatment, despite the appearance of the altercation with Angel.
“I am not an abuser, I have never hurt a lady, I love women and I stand up for women. If you notice, half of the time in the house I was always shouting ‘girl power’. So yeah, I’m all for women and that’s something that I’d love for people to understand,” Soma emphasized.
During their clash in the house, Angel and Soma engaged in a heated argument where Angel refused to engage with him and walked away. Soma, however, persisted in following her and blocking her path, attempting to force a conversation despite her repeated requests to be left alone.
These actions led to Biggie issuing a strike against Soma, and he faced criticism from the public who viewed his behavior as aggressive and abusive towards women. Soma has now publicly extended his apology for his actions during that incident.
