Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has called on lawmakers to stop approaching him directly during plenary sessions, as it often disrupts proceedings. In a video shared online, Abbas expressed frustration, noting that these interruptions distract him from his duties.
Abbas urged lawmakers to follow proper channels, such as consulting the acting Chief Whip before bringing issues to the Speaker. He recounted an incident where a conversation distracted him from following protocol, leading to a misunderstanding.
