During a sermon at the Covenant Hour of Prayer service, Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, cautioned his congregation against the practice of setting time constraints for God’s interventions in their lives. He emphasized that individuals should refrain from pressuring God for immediate results.
Bishop Oyedepo’s admonition was directed at those who, due to impatience, have turned to hasty alternatives offered by Satan, resulting in falling into perpetual traps. He underscored the wisdom of proceeding slowly but steadily, rather than rushing and stumbling. He said, “It’s better to be slow and sure than to be fast and fall.”
He implored his congregation not to impose deadlines on God to receive rewards for their dedication. Instead, he urged them to remain patient and await God’s perfect timing.
In his stern admonishment, he urged, “Stop timing God. When it is your time, you will not be denied.”
