Ashleigh Plumptre, the 25-year-old Super Falcons defender, has made the decision to part ways with Leicester City, her club in the English Super League. Plumptre announced her departure from the team on Thursday evening after spending three seasons with the Foxes, having joined in 2020.
During her time at Leicester City, the talented centre-back played a crucial role in securing the Championship title for the club in 2021, marking a significant milestone in her career. Plumptre made a total of 58 league appearances for the team, scoring two goals.
Currently, Plumptre is focused on representing the Super Falcons as they prepare for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
