In connection with the alleged theft and diversion of Knorr seasoning products worth N40.6 million, the Ogun State Police Command is pursuing Joseph Nwakpe and other individuals.
In order to transfer 2,085 cases of Knorr seasoning from Agbara to Onitsha and Port Harcourt, Nwakpe and other individuals were hired by Pedro Okanlawon, a transport manager at Lap Global Resource. This information was gotten through a police source.
Source: The vehicle transporting the goods was a customized colored Mercedes Benz with registration number 3364N244722 and engine number 3364N244722, with “Never give up” and “Ifeomachukwu” as inscriptions at the front view.
Okanlawon, a transport manager located in Lagos, is claimed to have called Nwakpe and other people on multiple occasions to inquire about their whereabouts.
The victim, however, filed a petition against the fleeing suspects at a police station in Agbara after all attempts to learn their whereabouts were unsuccessful.
According to information obtained, Danladi Suleiman, a resident of the Ayetoro neighborhood near the Agbara/Badagry Expressway, was detained on September 5, 2023, as a result of a police investigation.
Although the arrested suspect has now admitted to the crime, further investigation is still ongoing, according to Omolola Odutola, the state police public relations officer who was contacted and confirmed the occurrence.
