Former Big Brother Naija contestant, Tacha, has stirred a heated debate on social media with her controversial views on faithfulness in relationships, asserting that commitment only begins with marriage.
The reality star’s statements came to light in an interview with fellow BBNaija alumnus, Phyna, where she argued that a person is considered single until they are married, implying that faithfulness is not a necessary aspect of pre-marital relationships.

In the viral clip, Tacha stated, “You have to be in that relationship and not be faithful until you probably get a ring. Or until you’re getting into a marriage where you have to swear an oath because which oath did you swear to your boyfriend that you’re faithful to? Like do you understand what I mean? You’re single till you’re married, you know that yes?”
Social media erupted with diverse reactions to Tacha’s views, with some expressing understanding, while others criticized her stance vehemently. One Instagram user commented, “The height of stup.!d!.t¥,” while another emphasized the importance of faithfulness in both relationships and marriage.

Undeterred by the backlash, Tacha responded on her X account, defending her position. She addressed the double standards in societal expectations, pointing out a perceived inconsistency in holding men accountable for infidelity in marriage.
Despite the mixed reactions, Tacha’s comments have sparked a broader conversation about the dynamics of faithfulness and commitment in relationships, with opinions varying widely across social media platforms.
