Tems Wins Second Grammy for Best African Music Performance

Nigerian singer Tems has secured her second Grammy Award, winning Best African Music Performance at the 2025 Grammy Awards with her song Love Me JeJe. She triumphed over strong contenders like Yemi Alade, Asake, Wizkid, Chris Brown, Davido, and Burna Boy to claim the prestigious award.

This latest achievement comes after Tyla from South Africa won the inaugural Best African Music Performance category in 2024 with Water. With this win, Tems now has two Grammy awards and a total of eight career nominations. She was also nominated this year for Best Global Music Album (Born in the Wild) and Best R&B Song (Burning), further cementing her global influence.

Her success continues to shine a spotlight on African music, inspiring a new generation of artists to break international boundaries.
