The Imo State Police Command has vowed to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the killing of security operatives in Umualumaku, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of the state. Gunmen attacked a convoy of security personnel, including soldiers, policemen, and men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, killing about eight of them and setting their patrol vehicles ablaze.
The incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m., causing panic among the residents of the area. The security operatives were ambushed and killed by their attackers, and their vehicles were set on fire.
The spokesperson for the Imo State Police Command, Henry Okoye, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation had commenced. He assured the public that those responsible for the attack would be identified and brought to justice.
