On Sunday night, terrorists attacked Katsina State’s Danmusa Local Government Area, resulting in five fatalities and no less than twelve injuries.
Additionally, five residents were kidnapped during the incident, which happened at about 10 o’clock.
Some of the locals claimed that a large group of terrorists stormed the town and started firing randomly.
Residents who asked to remain anonymous further explained that the terrorists began their attack outside the town because of the presence of security personnel and vigilantes before moving inside and stepping up their attacks.
According to one of the locals, “the casualties would have been more if not for the efforts of the security operatives and the Vigilante.”
While security personnel and vigilantes were on patrol there on Monday morning, they claimed that things were mostly quiet.
Abubakar Aliyu, the state police command’s spokesman, verified the development when contacted.
He stated, “The incident happened around ten o’clock. While our troops are managing the situation there, we have already started our inquiry.
