There Is No Reason Why Food Should Be Scarce – Seun Jimoh Writes Nigerian Government

Nollywood actor Seun Jimoh has raised concerns about the growing scarcity of food in Nigeria and has called on the government to declare a state of emergency on food production.

Taking to his Instagram story, the actor expressed his dismay at the current food crisis, stating that it is high time for the government to take decisive action. Seun Jimoh believes that, aside from the lack of arable land or wartime conditions, there should be no justifiable causes for famine.

In his Instagram post, he wrote, “DEAR NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT, IT’S TIME TO DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY ON FOOD PRODUCTION! THE ONLY TIME THERE SHOULD BE FAMINE IN THE LAND IS IF THERE IS WAR OR IF THERE IS NO ARABLE LAND!! THERE IS NO REASON WHY FOOD SHOULD BE SCARCE IN NIGERIA!”

Seun Jimoh is urging the government to investigate the root causes of the food scarcity, emphasizing that the country is not currently facing issues such as war or a lack of arable land. His call for a state of emergency reflects the growing concerns among citizens regarding the availability and accessibility of essential food items in Nigeria. As the conversation gains traction on social media, many await to see if the government will respond to the actor’s plea and address the pressing issue of food scarcity in the country.
