A chilling crime has rocked Nasarawa State as 32-year-old Timileyin Ajayi confessed to the brutal murder and dismemberment of his alleged girlfriend, Salome Eleojo Adaidu, a 24-year-old corps member serving in Abuja. Ajayi was apprehended on January 12 while attempting to dispose of her remains in the Papalana area of New Karshi, Karu Local Government.
Speaking to reporters, Ajayi claimed the act was unplanned, citing jealousy and mistrust after discovering chats on Adaidu’s phone. Shockingly, he expressed no remorse, saying, “Life is reciprocal… if you must do something to someone, you have to be reciprocal.” His statements have sparked widespread outrage, especially as the victim’s family denied knowing him or any relationship with their daughter.
The Adaidu family is demanding justice for the heinous crime. Salome’s uncle, Samson Adaidu, condemned the act as inhumane, revealing that the victim’s remains were gruesomely mutilated and left in multiple bags. The family now looks to the authorities to ensure swift and fair prosecution for this heartbreaking tragedy.
