Tinubu betrayed us by keeping Bodejo in custody—Fulani youth

Fulani youths in Nasarawa State’s Karu Local Government Area have expressed their displeasure with authorities for continuing to detain Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, president of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore.

The incarceration is purportedly related to Bodejo’s involvement in the formation of the Nomad Vigilante Group, a quasi-security organization.

During a conference in Uke presided over by Shuaibu Abubakar, the youngsters voiced feelings of betrayal, noting Bodejo’s contributions to President Bola Tinubu’s and other candidates’ political success in the 2023 general elections.
They urged President Tinubu to intervene and secure Bodejo’s release, citing his positive intentions for Nigeria.

Abubakar remarked, “We appeal to President Tinubu to intercede in the case and facilitate Bodejo’s release from detention.

“Our leader means well and has good intentions for Nigeria.”.

While endorsing the formation of the Nomad Vigilante Group as a step toward improving the country’s security framework and promoting long-term development, Fulani youths urged all levels of government to embrace the effort to protect lives and property.

The meeting’s chairman, Shuaibu Abubakar, emphasized the peaceful attitude of the Fulani people, implying that without their restraint, riots could have erupted in major towns across the country.

“if not for the peaceful disposition of the Fulani people, major cities across the country would have been filled up with protesters.”. Abubakar added.

On January 17, the Nomad Vigilante Group was inaugurated in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, in the presence of representatives from security agencies and other stakeholders.
