Tinubu Emphasizes Vision for Job Creation and Poverty Reduction

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his vision for Nigeria to become a nation of creators and builders, ensuring prosperity for current and future generations. Speaking at the 55th International Conference of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Tinubu emphasized the need to transform the Nigerian workforce, providing gainful employment for every citizen and eradicating poverty.

Tinubu, represented by Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkiru Onyejiocha, stated that poverty is not a shameful thing but is unacceptable. He outlined the commitment to steering Nigeria toward self-reliance, reducing dependency, and fostering an environment of economic growth and job creation. The vision includes establishing industrial hubs tailored to each region’s strengths and creating unprecedented levels of industrial activity.

Highlighting the role of HR practitioners, Tinubu emphasized their importance in effectively managing people to become catalysts for economic resurgence. The President and Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Olusegun Mojeed, also stressed the crucial role of HR in shaping progressive organizations and nations, noting that sustainable people practices are catalysts for development.
