President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended former Senate President Ken Nnamani for his pivotal role in defeating the controversial third-term agenda of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. Tinubu praised Nnamani for protecting Nigeria’s democracy during a meeting with South East leaders on his visit to Enugu State.
Describing the period as a critical moment in the nation’s history, Tinubu said, “The man who saved democracy for us all to enjoy, our former Senate President, I cannot forget that memorable time. The time when the third term effort was killed. He put life into freedom and constitutional democracy.”
During his visit, Tinubu also lauded Governor Peter Mbah for his development achievements, pledging federal support for Enugu State and other states to advance their developmental initiatives.
