Tinubu Kicks Off Project Commissioning Tour

President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja for Lagos on Saturday to begin a week-long tour of commissioning projects completed under his administration, marking his first anniversary in office. The tour will take him to various parts of the country from Sunday through Friday.

In Lagos, Tinubu will inaugurate several key projects on Sunday, including the concrete-paved road to the Apapa and Tin Can Island ports, financed by the Dangote Group. He will also virtually commission the refurbished Third Mainland Bridge and the rehabilitation of 330 roads and bridges nationwide. The highlight will be the inauguration of the Lagos-Calabar Superhighway, a N15 trillion project connecting nine coastal states.

Returning to Abuja on Tuesday, Tinubu will continue the commissioning spree, starting with the Southern Parkway and attending the National Assembly Dialogue Series on Wednesday. He will unveil the National Assembly Library Complex and relaunch the Abuja Metro for commercial service. Additional projects include the Wuye Flyover-Link Bridge, the Defence Intelligence Agency Headquarters, and the NASENI-Portland Compressed Natural Gas Reverse Engineering Centre in Utako on Friday.
