President Bola Tinubu officiated the flag-off ceremony for the 700-kilometer Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Victoria Island, Lagos. The project, spanning eight states and concluding in Calabar, aims to bolster economic growth in the regions it traverses. The event was attended by numerous dignitaries, including governors, ministers, and National Assembly members.
The ceremony also highlighted the recent commissioning of the reconstructed Apapa-Oworonshoki-Ojota Expressway. Senate President Godswill Akpabio, representing President Tinubu, was joined by Minister of Works Dave Umahi, Dangote Group Chairman Aliko Dangote, and Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat. This expressway project was a collaboration between the Dangote Group and the Federal Government.
At the expressway’s commissioning, key figures such as Governors Jide Sanwo-Olu, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, Hope Uzodinma, Mai Mala Buni, Dikko Radda, Ahmed Aliyu, Dapo Abiodun, and Lucky Aiyedatiwa were present. The event also saw the attendance of Ministers Wale Edun, Atiku Bagudu, and Zephaniah Jisalo, along with traditional rulers and other dignitaries.
