Tinubu: Nigerians Shouldn’t Be Poor

President Bola Tinubu, during a Presidential Townhall Meeting with Nigerians in the diaspora in New York, encouraged Nigerians living abroad to have a change of mindset towards success and business opportunities. He emphasized that Nigeria is a blessed country and that Nigerians have the potential to succeed in various endeavors. He also called on Nigerians in the diaspora to embrace one another and eliminate ethnic divisions, emphasizing the need for unity among Nigerians.

Tinubu commended the achievements of Nigerians living abroad and expressed pride in their contributions to their host countries. He encouraged them to continue supporting Nigeria’s development efforts and to take advantage of business opportunities in the country.

The meeting was organized by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly. Several Nigerian government officials and diaspora representatives attended the event, where Nigerians excelling in various fields in the U.S. were introduced to President Tinubu.

Nigerians in the diaspora were urged to explore opportunities for economic empowerment, business growth, and investment in Nigeria.
